Meet Monica L. Ball, also known as, Miss Real Talk. She is the Founder, CEO, President, and Media Personality of Real Talk With Monica, LLC. She is also the founder of Rising Towards Success, LLC. Monica grew up in Emporia, Virginia, in her early days, and later moved to Richmond, Virginia.
At an early age, Monica was never a stranger to hard work, nor did she lack high ambition. She is a graduate of Strayer University, where she received an MBA and BA in Business Management. Currently, Monica is attending Grand Canyon University online to receive her PH.D in Business Management.
In 2010, Monica was diagnosed with Steven Johnson Syndrome, and illness that almost took her life. God did not let her go, because He has a purpose for life. She still continues to face the battles of being a survivor of Steven Johnson Syndrome.
In 2014, Monica decided to retire from the United States Postal Service and stepped out on faith to become her own boss. Monica is no ordinary woman. She had to overcome being on food stamps, job discrimination, deficiencies with her home, and battling opposition in the federal and state courts.
Through Monica’s adversities in 2014, she decided to take the opportunity to speak some “Real Talk” as a special guest on the Mike’s Variety Hour radio show. This launched the vision for Real Talk with Monica.
Monica uses Real Talk with Monica as a vehicle to entertain people, spread her message of hope, and influence others to speak their truth. Real Talk with Monica is a reflection of Monica’s purposes for life; which are to entertain people around the world, have a sense of self-worth, be a lover of God, and have the willingness to help people speak “Real Talk”.
The Real Talk with Monica TV show is taped live from Comcast Public Access Network in Richmond, Virginia. This show has appeared on Famous Brown TV on The CW Richmond Network.
